We are Perri and Dan. In September 2022, we made the change to nomadic living in our simple self-built camper van, SteVAN. We’re working from the road, and exploring wild places, interesting geology and great hikes and food along the way!

People often ask us how long we plan to live this lifestyle. The answer is simple: until we don't want to anymore! Truthfully, there are so many places to explore, we can't imagine ever setting down again.

One of us (Perri) is a #floridagator (1992) One of the things we’re appreciating about our #winterdigs in #safetyharborfl is the #giantliveoak #trees Even more, we are appreciating spending time with my brother, who has graciously taken us in while we are here (#nomorestealthing in #florida!) Hey there! While keeping warm in Florida we've been updating and re-arranging our #vanlifeblog. I’ve been working on learning #french ever since our #springontheCoteNord in #quebec Dan speaks the language fluently, and it was hard to stand aside and try to figure out what people were saying. Can’t say I’m good at this #language but I am improving 🫤👍 #alligatorlake a few blocks away from our #winter #home with my brother in #safetyharbor #florida We are going to do some deep cleaning of the van and reconfiguring while here. #moochdockingwithfamily #notintheroad #walkingtheneighborhood Living the #houselife for a little while. We are staying with family in #Florida and appreciating the time with people we love. The adventures might be low key for a while #therealvanlife #notontheroad #winterdigs The #lastdayof2024 was a wild one. We went #canoeing in #tampabay with our family and got dumped on—#torrential #rain then sunny skies (in Florida this is par for the course). So much fun! A lone #mangrove on #tampabay — we are hanging with family in #safetyharbor #florida for a while A rainy day with family in #florida. So the 10 of us we did something new: we went to the #horseraces(!) we might even go back sometime. So much fun and a perfect #rainyday diversion #winterinflorida #tampabaydowns #horseracing #hangingwithfamily #randomvanlifeactivities
