2 Weeks on the Road in the Bus

It’s hard to believe we are celebrating two full weeks of living in our little home on wheels already. But the time really flew by.

It feels great to have completed our building phase (more or less) and to begin to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The bus continues to be comfy and we are getting used to our new normal.

We crossed the Mississippi River about a week and a half ago, and began to feel that westward pull in earnest.

We spent a day or two enjoying our last lush eastern forests in central Mississippi, then began hopping from one big wide open reservior lake to another.

We dodged some wild spring weather, clipped Texas, sped across Oklahoma, and clipped Texas again.

(That pesky Panhandle!) When we finally reached New Mexico we were ready to slow down.

We celebrated a bit in Las Vegas (New Mexico), soaked up some rainbows, did a little hiking, and some soaking. By then, it was high time to take our “pavement princess” party bus out on the dirt, which we did, boondocking at 8,000 feet in the Santa Fe National forest.

We have ample electricity in our new build and a freezer compartment in our new fridge. Luxury upon luxury!

Here’s a quick little video recap of our last two weeks
