Doing Florida Things A Break from the Bus Some heavy lifting today! We got a little help hauling our ginormous solar panels up on the roof. Then Dan attached them to the roof rack he designed to hold them in place. A rainy, somewhat chaotic day building our new bus home. Lots ccomplished. Sooo much more to do! Our brother in law is in town to work on the bus with us and big things are happening! He and Dan built a large, sturdy shelf for our new induction cooktop and installed the new countertop. I did more staining and "glazing", tested my homemade curtain and did a few other odds and ends. A field trip! Today we picked up our new countertop at IKEA and started installing it. Some curtains were somewhat accomplished as well. We got a little help from our brother-in-law today. He has some much needed carpentry know-how and time to share. (Very much appreciated.)Things are shaping up! A big day in the long hard slog that is building our new shuttle bus home. We put in part of the ceiling. And it makes a HUGE difference. It feels a little more like a home now. Day 26 and we're still at it! Every day, a new puzzle to solve. But the only way through is through. And sometimes, it's kinda fun.
