Colding Pattern: Waiting Out the Weather to Continue our Van Build

March Weather: ice and sun

In New England, March is a month of extremes. We have had several snowstorms, an ice storm, a windstorm and , most tantalizingly, a few beautiful springy afternoons in which I walked and dreamed, sun on my face, winter coat tied around my waist.

But there is little to actually DO in the cold. Our Jackery and solar panel have arrived, a very awesome birthday gift from my mom and stepdad. And we have been painting and staining and adding tiles to parts of the cupboards. But the cold outside makes more intensive work a challenge.

Spring projects include adding a maxxair fan, fully installing the cupboards, framing the windows and then sewing curtain panels to fit, hanging the curtain on a track to separate the front seats, devising storage systems, installing our do-it-yourself-ish bug screens… probably a few dozen other things that have slipped my mind.

…And paring down the stuff in our house, and finalizing plans for renting it out…. So much!

And yet so much is on cold weather hold! Strange times!
